1. Tatters: to become ragged. The kids will tatter that doll beyond repair if they don't quit yanking it. 2. Merely: having no admixture. The mere idea of your traveling alone to Europe is ridiculous. 3. Vast: Very great in size. The policy is supported by the vast majority of citizens. 4. Parlor: Private reception room. Some hotels offered really good parlor rooms. 5. Abrupt: Very sudden and not expected. There was an abrupt change in the weather. 6. Refracted: to subject. Light is refracted when it hits water. 7. Immense: Very great size. She is an artist of immense talent. 8. Imperceptibly: Impossible to see or notice. These changes will be imperceptible to most people. 9. Ventilator: One that ventilates. The patient was put in a ventilator. 10. Olfactory: Connected with the sense of smell. The olfactory organs.
